Not only has The Fabric Corner made Nadyne a successful small business owner; but it also allows her to do what she loves best. She has always had a passion for sewing and says that the technology out there today in sewing machines allows for a wide range of creativity through things such as embroidery and embellishing. Sewing is a creative outlet for her, and above all she enjoys sharing this passion and teaching to others.
Just as the instincts she used when she decided to open The Fabric Corner proved true, her instincts about Padgett and her local owner Scot Rutherford proved true as well. She began working with Padgett back in 2006 when she received a sales call. After hearing about what Padgett had to offer she agreed to a meeting. She decided to explore her options and she met with several different accountants. But she says there was something that stood out about Padgett, they were more thorough than the other companies and seemed to have more of a handle on her particular needs. Also, they were friendlier and she got the sense that she would be able to trust them. She not only counts on Scot to do her monthly accounting and tax preparation, but also she says he goes beyond that.
“He goes over the numbers with me, but more importantly he points me in the right direction when it comes to making business decisions,” says Nadyne. “I rely on him a great deal.”
