For each report selected, you will answer questions about print options. These options differ for each report, and are outlined below.
When a report is selected, the Copies box will default to "1." You may override the default if more than one copy of the report should be printed.
You can print reports for prior months at any time by accessing that period's processing date and printing the desired reports.
Payroll Journal: The payroll journal prints monthly and year-to-date payroll information for the employees and monthly, quarterly, and yearly information for the client. You will be able to select from among the following options:
whether to sort by group
whether to include the inactive employees in the journal
whether you want quarter-to-date information printed for the employees
whether to print the EFTPS worksheet
Note: The payroll journal automatically prints in condensed mode when more than seven columns become necessary.
Note: The EFTPS worksheet can be printed for any monthly payroll depositor who chooses to deposit electronically. Upon transmission, the client can record the settlement date and the acknowledgment number on the worksheet. The worksheet contains the following information:
The telephone number as set up in Client Setup, Payroll Setup, Settings
The taxpayer's 9-digit employer identification number (TIN) as set up in Client Setup, Payroll Setup, Taxes
The taxpayer's 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) as set up in Client Setup, Payroll Setup, Settings
The tax type, payment type, tax filing period, payment amount, and verification code
Payroll Worksheet: Check this box if you wish to print payroll worksheets for your clients.
1099 Worksheets: Check this box if you wish to print 1099 worksheets with your payroll reports.
941 Information: Check this box if you wish to include 941 information with your payroll reports.
State Unemployment Tax Information: You will be able to exclude exempt employees from the state unemployment tax report. These are employees with a status that is state unemployment tax exempt in Employee File Maintenance. Some states do not want these employees or their wages included in this report. If you check the Exclude Exempt Payments box, the employees will not print in the employee list, and their wages will not be included in the tax information.
Federal Unemployment Tax Information: If you check this box, the program will print the information necessary to complete an annual 940 or 940EZ return. This report will include information on total wages paid for the year, exempt payments, payments in excess of cutoff, total exempt payments, total taxable wages, FUTA tax on taxable wages, FUTA tax on taxable wages by quarter and total state unemployment tax paid.
Review button: To review a report on-screen, check the box next to the report and click the Review button. To return to the Payroll Reports screen, press the Close icon, select Close from the menu bar, or press the Close and return to menu button.
Print button: When all desired reports and options have been selected, click the Print button. A Print now/Select printer box will appear. To change to a printer other than the system's default printer, click on the Printers button, click on the desired printer to highlight, and then click OK. Click the OK button to print; click the Cancel button to abort the operation.
