Overview As a small business owner, obtaining adequate funding for your child's education can be a difficult challenge.  Sensitive to this need, Padgett annually provides numerous $500 scholarship awards to the dependents of small business owners throughout the Canada and United States.  Since its inception in 1990, the Padgett Scholarship Program has provided over $800,000 to the dependents of small business owners.  In order to be eligible for a Padgett Scholarship award, an applicant must meet the two following requirements: Employment 1.) Applicant must be a dependent of a business owner who employs fewer than 20 people, owns at least 10% of the stock or capital in the business, and is active in the day-to-day operations of the business. 2.) Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who will attend an accredited post-secondary institution. Each regional winner in Canada will become eligible for a Canada National Scholarship of an additional $1,000.  Each regional winner in the U.S. will become eligible for a U.S. National Scholarship of an additional $1,000.
